I'm pretty good friends on FB with a singer in NOLA. We chat about once a week. Since all of her gigs have dried up, she's now doing twice weekly performances from home, with a "virtual tip jar." I send a few bucks every time I watch. I worry that people like her are going be hit hard. Her husband runs a glass studio on Magazine St. He's shut down as well.

What has been the economic impact on countries that didn't even try to mitigate this? My SWAG is that it's significant.

I said it in the very first post. Subordinating its mission to servicing CCP sensitivities. Probably requires blood. At the very least actions like this could change their internal calculations.

Taking a SWAG, if it only needs to be fine enough such that the human naked eye cannot see the seam, perhaps the resolution of a laser printer or that of a Retina display is good enough, comes out to around 85 μm (300 dots per inch); call it +/- 43 μm.

Hard to judge this without knowing anything about the context. Maybe that guy knows something we don't know.
